Has any one shot the new Hornady 5.56 Nato 75 grain superformance BTHP ammo or the .223 Hornady tap training 55gr. fmj? If you have let me know what you think and if you have any sudgestions on ammo. Looking for self sefense and small game.

Tim SomersI used the 5.56 Hornady Superformance this year whitetail deer hunting. Dropped a 190# buck at about 60 yds. One shot, both lungs, he ran about 50 yards and dropped. I will be going out with it again next year also.

Depending on what you consider "small game" the 5.56 might be a bit more than you need, but I doubt you'll be disappointed with it's performance. It's super. (sorry, couldn't help myself there)

Thanks for the Info Tim, sounds like it would do the job. I will be using it for hogs don't know if it would handle it but I will try it for sure. Thanks again and yea it is super lol the only thing I dont like is the price. Thanks again
